While the pursuit of cutting-edge scientific research is our fundamental passion, we continually maintain a social awareness to issues in the STEM community, such as diversity, equality, awareness, and education.
Below are several resources from Caltech and the community. Moreover, we are always open to additional ideas, suggestions, and feedback!
Inclusion & Diversity
Our group is deeply committed to prioritize the inclusion of students and post-doctoral scholars from all different backgrounds, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability. We strive to offer all of our members an inclusive, secure, and welcoming environment that is built on mutual respect and trust.

Mental Health & Wellness
Promoting the mental & physical wellness of all members in our group is of the utmost importance. Maintaining a healthy mind and body through the ensuing challenges brought about by high-stakes, cutting-edge scientific research is anything but trivial. We recognize this, and strive to foster a community environment conducive to open discussions about issues of mental health and overall wellbeing of our peers. We are all in this together as one big team!
Community & Outreach
Now more than ever it is imperative to promote high quality public education and outreach in the local communities. We are fortunate to have been involved in programs with local high schools, affording opportunities to introduce the next generation of talented minds to the world of scientific research. We also enjoy volunteering in local science fairs and STEM outreach events throughout the school year.
